About

What is the price of freedom?

Born the bastard daughter of the governor of the Hespérian Isles, Sofia lives an opulent life. A staff of servants tend to her every need, and she never wants for anything—except for the chance to become something more than the meek wife of a high-born suitor. When she crosses paths with a vicious pirate holding a bitter grudge against her father, Sofia is left with no choice but to negotiate for her life.

Dayo is the captain of the Huntress, and she is not known to take prisoners. Every prize she takes with her crew brings her closer to fulfilling her desire for revenge—the Empire and every pillar it stands upon must burn. She intends to spill as much Imperial blood as she can, sinking deeper and deeper into unfettered rage.

The governor moves to destroy the people’s hope of revolution and wages his own war against the Emperor himself. Sofia must choose between the safety of her gilded cage or the peril of charting her own course through the storm. Dayo intends to free the Isles, no matter the what it takes—even at the cost of her spirit.
